End Of Life (Pets)
End-of-life pet photography is a heartfelt session designed to honor the deep bond between you and your beloved pet during their final chapter. These sessions are gentle, unhurried, and focused on capturing authentic moments—soft snuggles, familiar expressions, and the love you’ve shared over the years.
Why are these sessions important?
Choosing an end-of-life session with your pet is about honoring the love you’ve shared and preserving the bond that has shaped your life. Our pets are there through seasons of change — growing families, hard days, joyful milestones — and they become woven into our everyday story. An end-of-life session allows you to slow down, hold them close, and document the quiet moments that matter most. It creates tangible memories of their expressions, their presence, and the way they fit perfectly in your arms. Images that become deeply treasured long after they’re gone.
It’s not about sadness; it’s about celebrating a life that was profoundly loved.
What to expect during your session

First and foremost — this session is gentle. There is no rush. No pressure. No expectation for your pet to “perform.” We move entirely at their pace.

When I arrive, we’ll take a few minutes to talk, let your pet get comfortable with me, and choose the coziest, most meaningful spaces — whether that’s a favorite chair, a sunny window, the backyard, or a quiet field that holds memories for you.
The Session Itself
We focus on natural interaction such as soft pets, forehead kisses, quiet embraces.
If your pet is mobile, we may capture a short walk or time outdoors.
If they are resting, we honor that and photograph them peacefully where they feel safe.
I’ll gently guide you into moments, but nothing will feel posed or forced.
Some images will focus on your pet alone — their eyes, their paws, the little details you never want to forget.
Others will capture the connection between you — the way they look at you, the way your hands naturally hold them.
Emotion Is Welcome Here
You may cry. You may laugh. You may sit in silence.
All of it is okay.
This session isn’t about being strong, it’s about being present.
Length & Flow
Sessions typically last 30–60 minutes, depending on your pet’s comfort and energy level. We take breaks as needed and follow their lead.
After the Session
Because I understand the sensitivity of this time, I prioritize editing and deliver your gallery as quickly as possible. My hope is that these images become something you reach for — something that brings comfort and reminds you just how deeply they were loved.
While most people think of dogs and cats, these sessions are truly about the bond and can be any species.
Dogs
Cats
Horses
Rabbits & guinea pigs
Birds
Reptiles
Farm animals like goats, pigs, or cows
Any beloved companion animal
If they are family, they are worthy of being honored.

Where sessions take place

In your home where your pet feels safest
In a quiet field at sunset
In a pasture, barn, or favorite trail
The focus is always the same — preserving the love, connection, and presence that makes your bond unique.
These sessions are gentle, unhurried, and guided entirely by your animal’s comfort.
When is the “right” time to schedule

The best time is as soon as you start thinking about it. If your pet has received a difficult diagnosis or you’ve noticed a decline, it’s better to schedule sooner rather than later. These sessions are meant to be gentle and low-stress, so we’ll work around your pet’s comfort and energy level.

What if my pet isn’t very mobile?

That’s completely okay. These sessions are never about posing or perfection. We can photograph them resting in their favorite spot, snuggled in your arms, or lying comfortably on a blanket. My goal is to honor them exactly as they are.

What should we bring?

Bring meaningful items such as a favorite blanket, toy, collar, or treats. If your pet has something they’ve loved for years, it can add a beautiful personal touch.
